308 to test feed it (NOT FIRE) and see if it cycles it. The bolt though i believe is mismatched with the gun, it seems to easy to wiggle when i have it cocked, and without the bolt stop, the bolt comes out every time you cycle it. The bore actually looks surprisingly good and crisp, the outer crown a bit worn but the inner crown looked fine, i havent swabbed it yet though. Just find a forend (as its missing the top wood shroud) and hang it on the wall) or see if it is shootable So anyways wondering what i should do with it? So after i settled that i looked at the gun, and took it apart, i knew it was missing a few pieces (bolt stop being one of them) and the trigger guard is pretty dented, obviously this gun isnt worth much of anything (not that i care it looks intersting) On the left side of the receiver i saw CAL 7.52.hmm odd?īecause on the end of the barrel by the bayonet lug I found M16 308W SPAIN, so then i assume it is a spanish mauser, converted to. Immediatle i knew it was a mauser, thats where it ended. I was down at my uncles one time and he gave me this old clunker he had, thought i could do something with it.
